This site works because the stories are real and fair. A few simple rules keep it that way — and keep every one of us protected. Every submission is reviewed against these before it’s published.
Do
- Tell your own story. Write about a customer-service experience you had first-hand.
- Be specific. What you needed, what happened, how long it took, how it ended.
- Speak as your opinion. “It felt like,” “in my experience,” “I was told” — your honest impression of what you went through.
- Rate honestly, including the rare good experience. Five stars for great service matters just as much as one for terrible.
Don’t
- Don’t name individual front-line employees. Talk about the company and what happened, not a specific worker by name.
- Don’t post private information — yours or anyone else’s. No account numbers, order numbers, home addresses, or personal phone numbers.
- Don’t accuse anyone of a crime. Describe your experience; leave legal conclusions out of it.
- Don’t make it up or repeat second-hand rumors. First-hand experience only.
- Don’t use slurs or threats. Anger is welcome; hate and threats are not.
What we do with your submission
Every story lands in a review queue — nothing appears automatically. We check it against these guidelines, may lightly trim for length or remove private details, and then publish it in your words. We don’t change your rating or your meaning. If a story can’t be published, we usually just leave it unpublished; we may reach out if a small fix would let it run.
Your privacy
Your email is private — used only to confirm you’re real and to follow up if needed. It is never shown and never sold. Publicly, a story shows only the display name you choose (use “Anonymous” if you like) and, optionally, your city and state.
About the company contacts
The escalation contacts we publish are publicly-listed business contacts — corporate customer-service lines and published executive office contacts — compiled so consumers can reach a human. We do not publish private personal information. See something wrong or out of date? Tell us and we’ll fix it.
BetterServiceNow publishes consumer opinion and publicly-available business information in the public interest. Stories are the views of their authors, not statements of fact by BetterServiceNow. Nothing here is legal advice.
